Nico Samitz has been composing chamber music since his school days. For over ten years, he has been writing works in a wide variety of genres for the BlechReiz BrassQuintett ensemble, in which he plays trumpet and piano. His experimental field ranges from classical works to jazz compositions and meditative music, almost to pop music. While honing his skills in areas such as composition and ear training at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Nico, as a trumpet player with the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bavarian State Opera, became acquainted with a multitude of works that have influenced his writing style. The driving forces behind his creative work are his passion, his enjoyment of music, and the desire to communicate musically and express feelings that are difficult to put into words.
