Marche Grand-Duc Guillaume – a Festive March for Wind Orchestra

The Marche Grand-Duc Guillaume was composed in 2025 on the occasion of the change of monarch in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and is dedicated to Grand Duke Guillaume, the new head of state.

The work by Georges Sadeler combines three characteristic traits of the Grand Duke in a powerful musical language: royal dignity and strength, radiant zest for life, and a warm, down-to-earth humanity.

Powerful fanfares and striking rhythms lend the march a festive grandeur, while lyrical lines and warm timbres create moments of intimacy and connection – a representative, dignified work for ceremonial occasions and concert programs.
