Mont Blanc - Fanfare Band Set

Mont Blanc - Fanfare Band Set

It is considered the roof of Europe. Mont Blanc , 4,808 meters high, majestic, and covered in ice. For centuries, it seemed insurmountable. It wasn't climbed for the first time until 1786: by the crystal hunter Jacques Balmat and the physician Michel-Gabriel Paccard .

Various routes lead to the summit. The most famous is the " royal road" from Saint-Gervais-les-Bains , opened in 1855 by the Englishmen Hudson , Kennedy , and Smythe . The route, now considered the standard route, via Aiguille du Gožter , Dam du Gožter , and the Arète des Bosses, was first fully climbed in 1861.

Otto M. Schwarz was inspired by the magnificent landscape, the history, and the drama of the climb. His work musically follows the ascent—from early dawn in Saint-Gervais all the way to the summit.

The path is full of impressions: sunrise on the glacier flanks, the threat of snowstorms and rockfalls on the Bossesgrat, and finally, after great effort - the triumphant view from the highest point in the Alps.

A gripping, pictorial work that invites you to take an imaginary tour of Mont Blanc , majestic, challenging and sublime.
