Commissioned by the Orchestre d'Harmonie de Digoin, Hero expresses the concept of the hero in its most comprehensive sense. The work opens with a majestic introduction in which the rhythmic figure, presented by the brass instruments, gradually fades away, giving way to a more lively Allegro. A new theme unfolds through the skillful use of different tempos, keys, and timbres, culminating in a bombastic finale at the end of the composition.
