The originally Ukrainian folk song gained worldwide fame primarily through the film "Home Alone." This arrangement showcases various percussion bells.
The introduction imitates the ringing of church bells. The interplay between the striking main theme and a newly added secondary theme is particularly noteworthy.
For the performance you will need a set of handbells with the following tones:
A1, H1, C2, D2, E2, F2, F#2, G2, A2, H2, C3.
The bells are placed in a row on a table in front of two players. Alternatively, both parts can be played by one person on a second glockenspiel or alto glockenspiel.
The marimba is preferably played by two players, but can also be used solo or replaced by a piano. The tubular bells are optional.
