Collection: Björn Vüllgraf
Björn Vüllgraf, born in 1968 in Braunschweig, is a versatile pianist, arranger, and composer. He began his musical career as a pianist with the Youth Big Band of the Bremen Music School and won first prize at the Diepholz Music School Composition Competition in 1985. After completing his military service with Army Music Corps No. 11, he earned a diploma at the Hanover University of Music, with a focus on piano/keyboards, studio sound engineering, music theory, arranging, and composition.
Since the 1990s, Vüllgraf has been active as a musical director, keyboardist, and arranger, contributing to numerous gala productions as well as studio productions for artists, bands, and industry clients. He founded several ensembles of his own, including the Sinatra Revival Orchestra (2002) and the Björn Vüllgraf Orchestra (2005), which later also performed as a ballroom orchestra. Since 2008, he has led the gospel choir Good News Isernhagen and was a pianist with the Hanover State Orchestra in 2008/2009.
Since 2016, Vüllgraf has served as pianist and deputy director of the Lower Saxony Police Orchestra and as director of the Lower Saxony Police Big Band. He writes numerous arrangements for symphonic wind orchestra, particularly in the fields of pop and crossover, and has been working as a composer and arranger with Symphonic Dimensions Publishing since 2024.
