Andreas Simbeni, born in 1972 in Tyrol, studied horn, instrumental pedagogy, ensemble and wind orchestra conducting, instrumentation, and composition in Graz, Vienna, Linz, and Bolzano. Since 2004, he has been teaching wind orchestra ensemble conducting at the Upper Austrian State Music School Association (ÖO LMSW), served as director of the Regional Music School Sieghartskirchen from 2007 to 2024, and has been conductor of the Academic Wind Philharmonic Vienna since 2012. As a guest conductor, he regularly works with ensembles such as the Styrian Youth Wind Orchestra (LJBO Steiermark), Brass Band Sachsen, Danubia Symphonic Winds, and the Vienna Symphonic Youth Wind Orchestra.

He is a prizewinner of several national and international competitions, including finalist positions at the Winds Composition Contest Saxony and the Symphonic Wind Composers Project, as well as numerous successes at Austrian youth wind orchestra competitions.

Simbeni arranges and adapts music for wind orchestras, youth wind orchestras, and various ensemble settings. Since 2024, Andreas Simbeni has been working as an arranger for Symphonic Dimensions Publishing.
