The Polka française “Sängerlust” op. 328 by Johann Strauss was composed in 1868. The wind orchestra arrangement by Andreas Simbeni , designed for flexible instrumentation and percussion, enables even smaller orchestras to effectively bring out the rousing energy and characteristic brilliance of this polka.

This work was performed several times at the famous New Year's Concert of the Vienna Philharmonic .
