" In Time " by Gerald Oswald tells a cheerful morning story – seen from the unusual perspective of an alarm clock. It dutifully fulfills its task of calling people from their sleep, even though it encounters some reluctant resistance. But ultimately, everyone realizes that its call means more than just the end of the night: It heralds the beginning of a new, joyful day – a musical symbol of new beginnings, optimism, and the start of a positive phase of life.

Gerald Oswald, born in 1968 in Gross-St. Florian, studied trumpeter at the Johann Joseph Fux Conservatory and the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. He later studied conducting and composition with Franz Cibulka in Graz and Thomas Doss in Vienna, among others, and furthered his knowledge at the Leonding Music School and the C. Monteverdi Conservatory in Bolzano. His works for wind orchestra are now part of the international repertoire and are successfully performed worldwide.
