Mandatory Pieces at Flicorno d’Oro 2026

At the international competition Flicorno d’Oro in Riva del Garda, two works from our catalogue have been selected as mandatory pieces: Iron Mountain by Gerald Oswald and Eiffel Tower by Otto M. Schwarz.

“Iron Mountain” – Gerald Oswald

In Iron Mountain, Gerald Oswald combines programmatic elements with a clear musical narrative. Atmospheric sounds – such as the imitated water drops at the beginning – immediately create tension. As the piece unfolds, lyrical passages alternate with powerful tuttis before the work reaches its dramatic climax with striking anvil blows in the finale.

Stylistically, Iron Mountain thrives on contrast: mysterious soundscapes meet rhythmic energy, guided by a clearly traceable dramaturgical arc.

“Eiffel Tower” – Otto M. Schwarz

Eiffel Tower showcases the signature cinematic style of Otto M. Schwarz: catchy themes, rich orchestral colors, and an engaging dramatic build-up. The tower is musically “constructed” – from its foundation to its radiant summit.

Characteristic features include modern harmonies, rhythmic precision, and emotional intensity, making this work a true audience favorite.

The mandatory pieces of Flicorno d’Oro 2026 offer orchestras not only technical challenges but, above all, musical storytelling at the highest level. We are truly honored to be part of this event in 2026 and wish all participants an inspiring and enjoyable performance!
